PAST EVENTS

Beyond the regular networking meetings, we have enjoyed several extra-curricular events and gatherings, which have not only been LOTS of fun but have also helped to develop the more personal connections between attendees even further.

Take a look below at some of our past events at Boss Babes...

And if you're interested in finding out what is coming up so that you can come and join us, head to the Events tab on the main menu.

THE SPRING SOCIAL

Our first ever Boss Babes Spring Social in May was a great success and everything I hoped it would be - a sociable and conversational evening of fabulous women connecting with each other over a cocktail (or two ) in the glitzy, girly setting of Manahatta.

A mix of familiar and brand new attendees meant there was plenty of chance to build new connections and deepen previous ones, and the array of services and offerings that the attendees have was vast.

But beyond the business of it all, we were just ten women finding common ground, having fun and taking the night off from it all - can’t think of a better midweek treat for the soul than that.

THE SUMMER SOCIAL

Hidden away in the middle of Nottingham City Centre, Coco Tang Cocktail Bar was the perfect choice for our Summer Social event in August. With a vibrant and atmospheric atmosphere - and a cocktail list to DIE FOR - we enjoyed a wonderful evening in our VIP area.

These evening events have provided a wonderful way to get to know each other beyond and outside of business, helping to strengthen those initial networking connections into something a little deeper, and it was a joy to spend time together with such a great group of women.

THE (NOT-SO-BORING) BUSINESS BRUNCH

The first workshop-style event was a great success, with The (Not-So-Boring) Business Brunch held at BOX Nottingham in October.

The three hour morning event included four separate talks from some amazing and empowering female speakers - Bobbie Logan, Hayley Port, Eloise Idoine and Emma Baker (connecting live via Zoom from Bexhill).

The talks were anything BUT boring, even though they covered some pretty important topics including wills and probate, financial planning, insurance and LinkedIn.

We also enjoyed lots of chatting and networking, and of course, some brunch to fuel our minds and bodies!

I'm already musing about topics for a future event so keep your eyes peeled for that one...

A huge thankyou to the speakers for sharing all their wisdom with us and to Sophie Wallace and the team at BOX for helping with the organising and running of the event.

THE AUTUMN SOCIAL

What a magical Autumn evening we had together at The Magic Garden!

The Coral Room was an absolutely beautiful setting for our third Evening Social event this year in Nottingham, and whilst we had a few who couldn’t make it last minute, those who did come along enjoyed a lovely, intimate, relaxed and chatty get-together.

And chat we did - everything from terrible networking experiences (no naming and shaming here!) to Halloween costumes and plenty more in between.

Ultimately these social events (and the daytime ones too) are designed to allow us to connect as women first, and business owners second.

And whilst we came away knowing what each of us do and how we can support/connect/refer, we also got a broader idea of who each of us are on a personal level too.

Cheers to the fabulous women who joined me last night and I hope to see you all again soon - day or night!

THE BEXHILL EVENING SOCIAL

A full house/table and THEN some for the first Evening Social with Bexhill Boss Babes in November.

We spent a fabulous Friday night getting to know each other, with a mix of familiar faces and newcomers, plus the two women who were at my first ever meeting over two years ago, Corrinne and Charlotte.

The Lounge was a brilliant setting for our ladies night out, and with a wide range of female owned businesses from in and around the local area, it was an honour to bring them all together.

A big thankyou to all who came along and for all the fun, conversations and laughter we shared. It was a 400 mile round trip but boy, was it worth it!

Never long enough and I wish I could spend more time with each of you.

THE CHRISTMAS DO

Our festive event was the biggest yet, with 30 women in attendance celebrating the end of a busy business year with their fellow Boss Babes.

It was a great mix of faces from Nottingham and Derby - as well as some brand new ones too - all getting together to enjoy some reflective conversations and to develop new connections too.

Around half stayed on for the Christmas Dinner, which was another informal and relaxed experience, with plenty of delicious food courtesy of Cosy Club, Nottingham - and some bubbles to boot!

Below are some photos taken at the event, the professional ones courtesy of Martina Ignatova.
