Hi, I'm Claire, and I'm the founder and host of Boss Babes Networking.

​I started my own business back in 2019 as a website and graphic designer, a total shift away from many years previously spent in childcare and education, as well as stints as a reiki and crystal healer, a waitress and a customer services assistant, to name just a few.

​

But having always been employed, I had to navigate the world of self-employment alone. At least I thought so...

​

But then someone mentioned networking to me.

​

Quite frankly, I had no idea what it was or if it would work for me - especially as I work by and for myself - but I went along to one of the big national networking groups (which I won't name, but you might know the type...) and was totally overwhelmed.

​

It was formal and corporate, with lots of huge contracts being mentioned in the 5-6 figure brackets, with an expectation to sign up to an expensive yearly membership and present a pitch to a room full of strangers.

​

NO THANKYOU.

Luckily someone had told me about a small, local women-only networking group and although I almost bailed, I went along. The contrast was huge and I am so grateful I did.

​

It made me realise what networking could - and should! - be like. I was warmly welcomed, everyone was enthusiastic to hear about what I did, and happy to help offer me advice and ideas as a new start-up.

​

Fast forward to almost six years later, and Boss Babes Networking is my way of paying that kindness forwards.

 

Bexhill Boss Babes came first in 2023, and following my move to Nottingham, I started the new group in January this year. Bridging the gap with my online group sessions, I am delighted and excited to now offer YOU the opportunity to benefit from all that I have learned and gained from my own networking experiences and make some fantastic connections (and friends).
