What is a typical session of Bexhill Boss Babes networking like?

After arriving at the session and settling in, we start by going around the group introducing ourselves - this is brief, usually no more than a minute or two, to let everyone know who we are, what we do and where we're based. 
No need to stand up, pitch or present if you don't want to - but likewise the opportunity is there for those more confident to do so, and it is essential to make sure we know the basics about you.
The middle part of the session varies depending on attendee numbers and how long the intros have taken, but usually feature a short presentation from the guest host about their industry, as well as the opportunity to discuss business-related topics, such as social media marketing, developing a niche, etc.
We conclude the meeting by getting up and mingling in a more relaxed, informal way, giving you the chance to connect with anyone who has caught your eye (for personal reasons, to seek their advice or with the potential to collaborate), as well as to collect and share business cards.

Do I have to become a member to attend a session?

Accepted Answer

There is no membership for Bexhill Boss Babes - it runs freely on a pay-as-you-go system.
This is to allow for your flexibility as a business owner, so you can attend the sessions as and when you are able. Simply book your ticket to confirm your space.
I would, however, recommend coming along to the sessions as often as possible - those who tend to drop in once and not return don't get to build up as much rapport and therefore the ongoing referrals and work collaborations just don't seem to happen as much...
That's just how networking works!

Do you allow multiple attendees from the same industry or it is exclusive?

I truly believe there is room for everyone in small business - you may offer the same service or product as someone else, but who you are and the way you do it will be unique.
You might be exactly the right fit for someone, or they might simply gel better with someone else.
For that reason, there is no one-per-industry rule for Bexhill Boss Babes - all are welcome!

Do you have to own a business to attend Bexhill Boss Babes?

You do not have to be running a business to attend - you could be at the ideas stage, or just starting up. Likewise, we have had attendees such as solicitors and accountants who operate on a solo basis but as part of a larger company.
Bexhill Boss Babes is a way to connect with like-minded women in the local area, to gain support and advice, but also to find other women to buy from and work alongside - so in that way, all women in business are welcome!

Where is Bexhill Boss Babes held and how can I get there?

Accepted Answer

Previous sessions were held at The Colonnade Cafe on Bexhill seafront and The Good Story Bistro.

As of May 2026, we will be relocating to The Compass (formally known as Calvers / Rocksalt). The postcode is TN40 1BP, and it is located on the Marina & corner of Albert Road.

You can find parking at the De La Warr Pavilion main car park opposite, or along the nearby streets of West Parade or De La Warr Parade - these are managed by RingGo.

Bexhill Train Station is a short walk, and the nearest bus stop is outside the De La Warr.
