The session begins with going around the 'Zoom' room introducing ourselves, what we do and where we are located. This is brief - only 2/3 minutes each - but allows for us all to get to know each other right away. Then you will be assigned to a Breakout Room - this is another virtual space inside the meeting where you can talk with another member (or two) from the larger group, enabling a more focussed and personal way to develop connections. We usually do this several times before coming back together as a whole for the guest presentation. This lasts about 10-15 minutes and will be focussed on something business-related, giving us all insightful tips and advice. Finally, we conclude with an opportunity to share any testimonials about members of the group you may have worked with, as well as to ensure we have contact details for each other so we can connect after the session ends. Trust me - the hour flies by!

After purchasing your ticket through Eventbrite to secure your place, you will be emailed a Zoom link directly. This usually happens about 24 hours before the event. Ensure you have Zoom downloaded on your phone or set up to access through your account on your computer, then when the time comes, simply click the link to 'join' the Zoom room. Make sure your microphone and camera are switched on and you're ready to go!

There is no membership for Boss Babes Online Networking - it runs freely on a pay-as-you-go system. This is to allow for your flexibility as a business owner, so you can attend the sessions as and when you are able. Simply book via Eventbrite to confirm your space. I would, however, recommend coming along to the sessions as often as possible - those who tend to drop in once and not return don't get to build up as much rapport and therefore the ongoing referrals and work collaborations just don't seem to happen as much... That's just how networking works!

I truly believe there is room for everyone in small business - you may offer the same service or product as someone else, but who you are and the way you do it will be unique. You might be exactly the right fit for someone, or they might simply gel better with someone else. For that reason, there is no one-per-industry rule for Boss Babes Online Networking - all are welcome!

You do not have to be running a business to attend - you could be at the ideas stage, or just starting up. Likewise, we have had attendees such as solicitors and accountants who operate on a solo basis but as part of a larger company. Boss Babes Online Networking is a way to connect with like-minded women in business, to gain support and advice, but also to find other women to buy from and work alongside - so in that way, all women in business are welcome!
